Prepare a Debate Seminar (Years 8 to 12)

Suitable for beginners  in Years 8 to 12, the Prepare a Debate seminar will provide you with the opportunity to prepare and present a debate to an adjudicator and receive feedback in preparation for the upcoming debating season.

Aimed at coaches for the Schools’ Competition this workshop will focus on the following topics: 1. Introduction to debating and expectations of students. 2. Taking the Next Step in Coaching Students

Prep for Short Prep Workshop

Saturday 25 July, 2:00pm to 5:00pm

This workshop will guide participants through the process of preparing a short preparation debate, in the allocated 90 minutes. At the conclusion of the preparation time, students will have the opportunity to debate and/or discuss their prepared arguments with our team of expert adjudicators. It is strongly recommended that students attend as debating teams to get the authentic preparation experience.
