Round 2 concluded this week and we are so impressed with all students for rising to the challenges of the set topics. Our topics provide debaters with many current and contemporary issues and themes to debate. Congratulations to all involved this last round.
Round 1 came to a successful conclusion this last week. We are delighted that so many students have the opportunity to embrace the supportive and nurturing competition that Debating SA provides. We look forward to seeing the growth in students' thinking and public speaking skills over the coming rounds.
We have created some templates that debaters can use to prepare their speeches. These include cue card formats that can be printed on plain paper or cardboard (we recommend 200gsm) and cut out. In light of the continuing situation with COVID-19 the Debating SA Board has resolved to cancel the 2020 Debating Season as well as any training events that had been scheduled for 2020.
