The afternoon of Thursday 22 November 2012 saw the second intercollegiate debate between Nazareth Catholic College and St Michael’s College which Sonja Lowen from Debating SA was invited to adjudicate.
Students argued the challenging and controversial topic “That having a university degree is overrated.” Nazareth Catholic College argued the affirmative case whilst St Michael’s College was the negative.
The competition between the teams was fierce but Nazareth emerged victorious having successfully convinced the adjudicator of the merit of the arguments raised.
