After five rounds of debating across Adelaide, the 2026 Debating SA Schools’ Competition Finals Series is underway!
The top eight ranked teams in each of our Year 6, Year 7, Year 8, Year 9, Year 10 and Senior divisions have progressed to the finals, following a fantastic preliminary season involving schools and students from across South Australia.
With the Quarter Finals now complete, attention turns to the Semi Finals, being held at Nazareth Catholic College this week:
Tuesday 15 September
Year 8 – 6:30pm
Year 9 – 7:30pm
Wednesday 16 September
Year 10 – 6:30pm
Senior – 7:30pm
Thursday 17 September
Year 6 – 6:30pm
Year 7 – 7:15pm
Successful teams will progress to the 2026 Grand Finals on Saturday 17 October, which will once again be held in the House of Assembly Chamber at Parliament House.
The Grand Finals are a wonderful opportunity for our students to demonstrate the argument, presentation and structure they have developed throughout the season, while debating in one of South Australia’s most significant public institutions.
We congratulate every team that has reached the finals and thank the teachers, coaches, adjudicators, families and volunteers who have supported our students throughout the 2026 season.
