Debating for the Australian Curriculum: English

Debating for the Australian Curriculum

The introduction of the Australian Curriculum in schools presents an exciting opportunity for teachers to engage their students in debating. Suitable for teachers of Years 5 to 10 this practical hands-on workshop will provide participants with the skills and resources necessary to implement debating as a classroom unit which addresses aspects of the Australian Curriculum: English.

2011 Awards Ceremony at Government House

On Friday 4 November 2011, 5-6pm His Excellency Rear Admiral Kevin Scarce AC CSC RANR, Governor of South Australia as Patron of Debating SA and Mrs Scarce will host a reception at Government House for the presentation of awards of the 2011 Schools' Competition.

The House of Assembly Chamber, Parliament House.

The Official Debating Manual provides comprehensive and detailed guidance about the rules and technique of debating. Each Member School and team will receive a copy shortly.
