2008 Stirring the Possum 'Joey' Debate
Event Date: 5 March 2008 | Venue: Valente Centre, Cleland Wildlife Park

As part of Cleland Wildlife Park's 40th Anniversary Celebrations, Debating SA was invited to adjudicate a debate convened by the Department for Environment and Heritage. The debate was part of the Department's Stirring the Possum series of forums aimed at stimulating interest and discussion about the environment

The debate was on the topic "That the material aspirations of youth outweigh their environmental conscience." Speaking on the Affirmative Team were students from Cornerstone College and students from Birdwood High School students comprised the Negative Team.

Despite a good effort by both teams, the Cornerstone College team emerged victorious.

Debating SA can provide adjudicating services to your school or organisation. Please see the Debating Services page or contact us for more information.
